About Jeff Krause
Jeff Krause is an accomplished cross country coach and endurance athlete with a passion for developing runners and helping athletes reach their full potential. As the former Head Coach of Arapahoe High School Girls Cross Country, Jeff led the program to Colorado State Championships in 2019 and 2021 and a runner-up finish in 2020. In 2021, the team also earned a third-place finish at the Garmin RunningLane Cross Country Championships.
His coaching accomplishments have earned him numerous honors, including CHSAA Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2021, USATFCCCAA Colorado Coach of the Year in 2019, and CHSCA Coach of the Year in 2022.
Jeff is a USATF Level 1 and Level 2 certified coach with a specialization in endurance, with expertise in cross country, distance running, endurance development, training strategy, race preparation, and long-term athlete development. He is passionate about helping runners build sustainable training approaches, improve performance, and develop the physical and mental resilience needed to succeed in endurance sports.
As an endurance athlete himself, Jeff has completed approximately 15 marathons, a 50-mile ultramarathon where he finished third, and the Leadville 100 in 2018.
His experience as both a coach and competitor gives him a unique perspective on the demands of endurance training and what it takes to perform at a high level.
